ABC-ARTE presents Tempo Continuo, a second and distinct chapter of the exhibition project dedicated to Gastone Biggi.
Following the Genoa retrospective, the Milan exhibition brings together previously unseen works selected from six fundamental cycles, placing distant moments of Biggi’s practice in dialogue and revealing the profound coherence of a research that continuously renewed itself.
The exhibition moves through the Continui, Variabili, Eventi — Guerra e Pace, the New York series, Puntocromie and Fleurs. From the ascetic rhythm of black and white to colour and matter, these works trace the mature formulation of what Biggi called Abstract Realism.
Curated by Flaminio Gualdoni and developed in collaboration with Fondazione Gastone Biggi, Tempo Continuo proposes painting as an open field: a place where time, sign and perception remain active rather than fixed.
This expandable area supports the complete press release, regardless of length, including chapters, quotations and institutional acknowledgements supplied through Artlogic.
